Get RFP alerts in Slack
Connect BidSparq to your Slack workspace in under 2 minutes. No OAuth, no app install — just an Incoming Webhook URL.
What gets sent
- High-scored new matches— when an RFP scoring 80+ against your profile is posted. Catches your best leads in real time, not the next morning's digest.
- Pursuit deadline alerts— daily check for pursuits due in 7 days where you haven't submitted yet. Max 4 alerts per pursuit (at 7, 3, 1, and 0 days remaining) — no daily spam.
You choose which events fire. Disabled events stay silent.
Setup steps
1. Create an Incoming Webhook in Slack
Open api.slack.com/apps → Create New App → From scratch. Name it "BidSparq" (or whatever you like). Pick the workspace you want notifications in.
2. Enable Incoming Webhooks
In your new Slack app's sidebar, click Incoming Webhooks. Toggle Activate Incoming Webhooks to on.
3. Add a webhook to a channel
Scroll down, click Add New Webhook to Workspace. Pick the channel where alerts should land (e.g.
#bd-pipelineor#rfps). Click Allow.4. Copy the webhook URL
Slack now shows a URL like
https://hooks.slack.com/services/T.../B.../.... Click Copy.Treat this URL like a secret — anyone with it can post to your channel.
5. Paste it into BidSparq
Open Settings → Notifications. Paste the URL in the Webhook URL field. Click Send test message to verify it works. Then enable the events you want and hit Save.
Troubleshooting
- "Webhook URL must be a hooks.slack.com URL"
- Double-check you copied the full URL from the Incoming Webhooks page. It should start with
https://hooks.slack.com/services/. - "Webhook URL is invalid or revoked"
- The webhook was deleted or the workspace was disabled. Go back to api.slack.com/apps, open your app, and create a new webhook.
- "Channel not found" or "channel is archived"
- The channel you bound the webhook to was renamed, archived, or deleted. Create a new webhook pointed at an active channel.
- Test message worked but real alerts aren't arriving
- Confirm you saved your event toggles in Settings → Notifications. Alerts only fire for enabled event types. For high-score matches, also confirm you're on Pro or higher (matches under the scoring threshold won't trigger).
- Want to send to a different channel?
- Each webhook is bound to one channel. Create a new webhook for the other channel and swap the URL in BidSparq settings.
Privacy
We only POST formatted messages to your webhook URL. We never read from Slack, never see your channel history, and don't have any other access to your workspace. To disconnect, clear the webhook URL in settings or delete the webhook in Slack.
