Set up your business profile
Getting StartedUpdated August 3, 2026
Your business profile is the most important thing you set up in BidSparq. Every opportunity is scored against it, so a complete profile means accurate matches and fewer wasted bids.
What to add
- NAICS codes. The industry codes for the work you do. These drive most of your match scoring.
- Set-asides and certifications. 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, small business, and any certifications you hold. BidSparq uses these to flag opportunities you are eligible for.
- Location. Where you are based and where you can perform. This powers state, local, and radius based matching.
- Keywords. Words that describe your products and services, to catch opportunities your NAICS codes miss.
- Capabilities. A short description of what you sell and do, so matching understands your business beyond codes and keywords.
Tips for better matches
Add every NAICS code you can legitimately perform, not just your primary one. Use keywords for the brand names and product categories buyers actually write in solicitations. The more complete your profile, the more accurate your 0 to 100 scores.
Next, understand your matches and the score.
